Question list

Jiuzhaigou Valley Ticket Booking System · Answers to common questions on tickets, entry, refunds and transport
How do I buy a ticket? Tickets
Choose a date, entry time slot and ticket type on the home page or the booking page, enter the visitor's ID details and pay. A verification code is issued after payment; present the original ID at the gate.
Is real-name booking required? Tickets
Yes. Booking is real-name — enter the ID details of the person visiting, and present the original document at the gate.
Are admission and the shuttle priced separately? Tickets
Yes. Admission and the in-park shuttle are priced separately at Jiuzhaigou. The valleys are long and the boardwalks run for tens of kilometres, so almost every visit needs the shuttle. All ticket products on this site are admission + shuttle packages.
Are there discounts for children, students or seniors? Tickets
Yes. Students, minors and senior visitors receive reduced or free admission under park rules, though the shuttle is usually still charged. Show the original supporting document at the gate, otherwise the full fare applies.
Can I book for several people at once? Tickets
Yes, but each visitor needs their own real name and ID number. Everyone presents their own original document at the gate, and the details must match the booking exactly.
Are peak-season tickets easy to get? Tickets
Peak season, especially July to October, is very tight: daily capacity is about 41,000 visitors and popular dates sell out. Book at least seven to fourteen days ahead, and earlier still around holidays.
If tickets are sold out, is there any way in? Tickets
If tickets are returned after a sell-out, the queue releases them in order to waiting visitors. If nothing opens up, consider moving your date — customer service can point you to quieter days.
Do children need a ticket? Tickets
Children aged six or under, or 1.2 m or under, do not pay admission but still need the shuttle. Above that, a normal ticket applies. Staff check age or height at the gate, so bring a household register if you have one.
Are there discounts for senior visitors? Tickets
Visitors aged sixty to sixty-four pay half price for admission, with the shuttle at full fare. For visitors sixty-five and over, the scope of any reduction follows the park's current notice. Bring your original ID.
How do students buy a discounted ticket? Tickets
Full-time students at undergraduate level or below pay half price for admission. Choose the discounted package when booking and present your original student card at the gate; without it you pay the difference to full fare.
Can I book for just one person? Tickets
Absolutely — there is no restriction on single bookings. Just choose your date, entry slot and ticket type as usual.
